Dear Papa…

Father’s Day is 1 day out of 365 days; it is set aside especially for the honor and celebration of fathers. However, it is my opinion that that honor and celebration should be extended to fathers every day of the year. It is nothing for my brothers, sisters, and I to write our Papa cards or letters on any given day, even if it is not Father’s Day or some other holiday. We write these cards and letters to tell him that we love him, and that we are thinking of him all the time. Below are some cards that my brothers, sisters, and I have written to our Papa in the past:

Happy Father’s Day!

Dear Papa:

I love you very much. I am glad that you are my father. You are a great father. Thank you for all that you have done for me throughout my life. Thank you for teaching me and training me in the right way. Thank you for loving me and caring for me. And thank you for rebuking and chastising me when I am wrong. Thank you for being a great father and for setting a great example for me. Thank you for not buying me a lot of material stuff, but for always making sure that I pray and think, for that is what is most important. I just thank you so much for being the great father that you are. I will always take care of you. I love you very, very much. Happy Father’s Day!

Dear Papa:

I love you. Thank you for being a great father. Happy Spiritual Birthday! I am glad to have a Christian father. Thank you for training me up in the right way, loving me, feeding me, clothing me, and most of all being a great model for me, and following the Christian traits of love, kindness, chastity, courage, etc. The most important thing in all kids lives is their dad, having a Christian father, who trains them in the right way, someone who they can talk to, and be encouraged by along the way. “At the end of the day, only one thing matters, and that’s Jesus, just Jesus, and nothing else.” I’m glad that since you got saved 12/19/79, you have served God with all your heart, mind, and soul. I love you best of all.
